Looking for decorated T-shirts?

You've found the right place!

We are a textile printing company specialising in the production of customised T-shirts and it shows!

But before we get into the more technical aspects of all the processes we use, the options we have available, quantities, sizes, etc., we think it makes sense to talk a little about the long history of the T-shirt. Shall we?

.

Where and when did the t-shirt originate? Excellent question. Let's answer.

When you think of a versatile, practical, beautiful and super comfortable piece of clothing, it's impossible for the image of a T-shirt not to immediately spring to mind for almost everyone, since, like jeans, it has become such an essential part of our wardrobe.

.

The Origin

Many people probably don't know it, but the origin of the T-shirt is directly linked to the First World War, when soldiers needed garments that were light and breathable.

They say that necessity sharpens ingenuity, and that's exactly what happened. The creation of a low-cost cotton garment that was produced in a T-shape, hence the name t-shirt 😉

.

The 50s - Lights, Camera, Action!

The 1950s were a providential decade in the global affirmation of the T-shirt, as it became synonymous with attitude and much of this is due to the role that the seventh art world played in the process. Why?

Because true cinema icons such as Marlon Brando or James Dean relied on the white T-shirt to reinvent the image of the seductive and irresistible man, as it clearly showed off his muscles and sculptural forms.

.

The 60s - Peace, Love and Equality!

We're talking about the golden years of the counter-culture movements, in which the T-shirt took on real symbolism as a form of communication, since the young people of that generation saw it as the ideal way to express themselves.

It was also the decade when women began wearing T-shirts for the first time, as marches and festivals celebrating love, equality and fraternity were more than numerous and their use became widespread.

.

The 70s - Dressing and Consuming

We're talking about the decade of the true democratisation and global dissemination of the T-shirt, with brands betting on them in a declared way, and the niche of producing decorated T-shirts with band prints also emerging.

.

The 80s, 90s and 2000s - Consolidation

The next 30 years were clearly years of consolidation and affirmation of the T-shirt as a practical and comfortable garment, with countless options in terms of materials and prints, making it easier to "democratise" it and extend it to all social classes and ages.

.

Beginning of the 21st century

It was exactly at the beginning of the 21st century that T-shirts began to be sold in an even more global and generalised way, thanks to the emergence of e-commerce and the rest is history as they say.

Another reality that is clearly on the agenda is the production of "plus size" t-shirts, and the need to diversify and adapt production to meet the needs of the market.

.

But enough about the story, let's talk about the more technical aspects!
