Well, we use garments from promotional brands such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tshirtlovers.pt\/produtos?m=3\" target=\"_blank\">TH Clothes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tshirtlovers.pt\/produtos?m=4\" target=\"_blank\">Kariban<\/a> or Gildan to print our clients' branding on them and then remove the label from the original T-shirt to apply a personalised one.<\/p>\n\n<p>Normal, then. A perfectly legal system, as confirmed by the brands themselves (which simplify this process by using removable labels).<\/p>\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n<p>As it happens, there is currently a controversy in the UK because two clothing brands (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/fabulous\/16147557\/boohoo-prettylittlething-ripping-people-off-removing-labels-clothes\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Boohoo e Pretty Little Things (abre num novo separador)\">Boohoo and Pretty Little Things<\/a>) have been caught charging hundreds of pounds for Gildan and Fruit of the Loom clothes.) <\/p>\n\n<p>This controversy stems from a video filmed by someone outside a print shop, which shows a series of labels on the floor and boxes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maudlinclothing.com\" target=\"_blank\">T-shirts<\/a> (from the aforementioned brands) inside the warehouse.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"506\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.maudlinclothing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/pretty-little-things.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4016\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.maudlinclothing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/pretty-little-things.jpg 506w, https:\/\/blog.maudlinclothing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/pretty-little-things-152x300.jpg 152w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><figcaption>Pretty Little Things + Boohoo<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n<p>We've spoken here before about a controversy with Kanye West doing exactly the same thing, opening Pop Up shops and selling his brand's clothes (keeping the brands' original labels) for absurd amounts of money.<\/p>\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Curiously, this is something that happens more often than we think. In fact, even in Portugal we have well-known brands for which we pay a lot of money doing precisely the same thing, and there are even situations where we have the same clothes in the catalogue as these brands have in the shop.<\/p>\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Personally, I think this is fantastic. It's an incredible demonstration of how important marketing is for a clothing brand.<\/p>\n\n<p>What differentiates Supreme or Superdry from your brand? At the end of the day, they all wear the same clothes and the same <a href=\"https:\/\/maudlinclothing.com\/services\/screen-printing\" target=\"_blank\">screen printing<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/maudlinclothing.com\/services\/direct-to-garment\" target=\"_blank\">direct printing<\/a>.
