Screen printing<\/a> is the type of textile printing available in the market that offers the highest quality and durability, and it is our favorite printing method.<\/p>\n

If you want to print t-shirts<\/a> or other textiles with superior quality, the question of which method to use doesn't even arise because nine times out of ten, screen printing<\/a> is the right choice. However, not everything is straightforward because it's also a form of textile printing with many limitations and rules that sometimes end up preventing or limiting its use.<\/p>\n

If you're a designer, there are some factors to consider; despite the high quality of the print (both visually and to the touch) and the impressive durability of the pieces (we're talking about several years with regular use as long as proper washing care is taken), file preparation for printing is also likely the most complicated and has the most rules\/limitations of all printing options.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the specifications required for the files to be printed:<\/strong>
\nSolid colors><\/em>: All colors in the image must be solid; this means that each shade counts as a color (and is taxed as such).<\/p>\n

Let's imagine a black and white hand-drawn sketch (using a pencil); although we call it black and white, the truth is that we have hundreds, if not thousands, of different shades of gray, depending on how hard we press the pencil; to be able to use it in screen printing (as a single color), we have several options. We can edit the image so that all these shades disappear and only one solid block remains, a single color (which sometimes can completely distort an image), or we can use a technique that we really like here called \"halftones\" (see this link to learn more<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Vectors><\/em>: It's always necessary to convert images into vectors (some call it converting to lines); this is a complicated process that sometimes takes considerable amounts of time and uses a lot of resources. Anyway, as a general rule, we offer this service for the majority of orders (depending on the difficulty of vectorization).<\/p>\n

PRACTICAL GUIDE<\/span><\/h1>\n

We have two images, one that can be used in a screen printing production and one that cannot. After what you've read so far, can you tell us which one is not optimized for printing on t-shirts<\/a>? You're correct, the one on the left cannot be printed! Why? The colors are not solid (there are variations in shade in the design).<\/span><\/p>\n

Another issue with screen printing revolves around the difficulty of applying the technique, resource utilization, and the time it takes for production.
\nIn fact, what takes less time is the production itself, unlike the pre-production, which is quite time-consuming. The difference between printing 20 or 2000 t-shirts is only a matter of a few hours; the work that takes more time is all done beforehand. Printing your pieces is just one more step among many that need to be taken in production.<\/p>\n

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR T-SHIRTS<\/h1>\n

When doing screen printing productions, you should expect to receive t-shirts of phenomenal quality; as long as your files arrive to us converted into vectors and with good quality, you will certainly be pleased with the final result<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The print should be relatively smooth, although you will clearly feel the ink on the t-shirt<\/a><\/p>\n

Your t-shirts will be folded and divided by size inside one of our boxes; in extremely rare situations, the screen printing machine's platen may leave a small rectangular mark on the t-shirts (it will completely disappear after the first wash or ironing).<\/p>\n
