Dressing your team should be one of the most important steps you can take in your company.
If you have a production team or teams that work outdoors, uniforms will be absolutely essential and will give your company a recognition and visibility that is difficult to match with any other form of advertising.
Note:
- Advertisement is always on the street, in an ambulant way, seen by hundreds of people every day
- Your team is satisfied because they don't risk ruining their own clothes and can play an important role in promoting and enhancing the credibility of the company they work for. It's literally wearing the shirt
We are a company specializing in merchandise and workwear, but we didn't usually provide uniforms for our employees. The typical "cobbler's children have no shoes" situation.
Last winter, we made the decision to offer embroidered fleece jackets to all team members, both in production and in the office. The transformation of morale within the company was absolutely incredible. Contrary to what I expected, they never took off the jackets and proudly wear our logo wherever they go.
It's something very simple and economical, but it was truly transformative for us and for the culture within the company.
Uniforms have the power to make people feel more united, to feel part of something greater, and that has a significant power that should not be underestimated by anyone.
Not only do uniforms have internal advantages, but they also have external ones. I certainly wasn't the only one to notice the number of jackets and sweaters with company logos that you see on the street every day. In shopping, in malls, or anywhere else. All of this adds value to the company and is one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising you can do.
Not only does it increase the likelihood of purchase by reaching new potential customers, but it also multiplies the branding effect. Over time, people end up recognizing your logo and your company's name. It makes it much easier to close orders in the future because it creates familiarity with the people you are working with.
Surely there must be a reason why all large companies invest in merchandise for their employees, and it certainly isn't because they enjoy spending money.
